Update Post – Recent Improvements & Upcoming Features

We’ve pushed a batch of quality-of-life improvements, balance changes, and new content. Below is a summary of what’s been completed recently, along with features still in progress.


✅ Completed

World & Event Logic

  • World events no longer run back-to-back randomly.
  • Survivor death mechanic adjusted so same-tick deaths no longer instantly end the game (added delayed end check with double-check logic).
  • Survivor increment message spam removed.
  • Double Drops reworked to correctly factor in DR boosts.
  • Event synergy added — Double Drops now also counts toward Barrows and SurviveRS events.
  • Empress Dryad and Boss Bonanza events now give extra boss contribution.
  • Empress Dryad and Giant Snake added to the world event rotation.
  • Woodcutting and Skill Mania events now grant additional Lumberjack points.

Items & Rewards

  • Added more items to Survivor chests, including a new chest (still key-locked).
  • Made the following items obtainable:
    • Toxic Trident
    • Ice Cutlass
    • Twinblade
    • Crossbow with Dragon Bolts
    • Stake
    • Ice Warstaff + Runes
    • Selected NMM items
    • Zenyte Jewellery
  • Buyable Core / Key Magnet Unlock added (1,000 points).
  • Gilded Keys can now be obtained while mining in Kourlamore, woodcutting activities, and via adjusted fishing rates.
  • Ring of Coins now magnetises gilded keys and auto-opens coin sacks.
  • Demonic Bow now has a Demonbane effect (+40% max hit vs demons).
  • Dryad Bane effect added to fire spells and hatchet attacks.
  • Lootable compost boxes now spawn where Empress Dryad loot would appear.

Ground Items & Labels

  • Ground item text ~80% complete.
  • Item label text now correctly removes on pickup (with object existence check).
  • Manual despawn timers added for certain items (e.g., clues).
  • Fixed overlapping ground labels by adding padding.
  • Toggle commands added:
    • ::gitems
    • ::grounditems
    • ::itemlabels

NPC Highlighting & Visuals

  • NPC tile highlighting implemented.
  • Tile color cycling with F7.
  • Highlights all NPCs of the same type when hovering + Ctrl.
  • Larger highlight boxes for bigger monsters.
  • Increased render distance for tiles while zoomed out (locations/entities in progress).

Systems, Stability & QoL

  • Engine stability safeguards added to prevent unexpected shutdowns.
  • Straw Hat + Lumberjack Hat combined into a single multi-style hat with all effects.
  • Lumberjack House received an extra door for smoother access.
  • Ironman group messages now account for stack values.
  • Fixed incorrect Ironman group rank counts in player profiles.
  • Take & Leave option in Nightmare mode now shows a warning menu.
  • Right-click assignment added for all Slayer masters.
  • Enchanted Zenyte jewellery now has correct examine text.
  • General bug fixes and Lumberjack activity balancing.

🔜 Upcoming / In Progress

Ground Items

  • Option to hide specific items from ground labels (e.g., bones).
  • Detect and categorize item origin:
    • NPC drop
    • Player drop
    • World spawn

NPC Highlighting

  • Hull (model outline) highlight support.

Loot Tracking

  • Full loot tracker implementation.
  • Identify and hook into client-side NPC drop registration.

Ongoing work is focused on visibility tools, tracking systems, and further polish to UI and event logic. More refinements and feature rollouts are planned in upcoming patches.
