Introducing 2006Plus

The biggest change we're announcing today isn't a quest or a boss — it's the name above this post.

2004Plus is becoming 2006Plus.

Over the last two months we've merged in a full set of cache data from the 377 revision — bringing us up to roughly 2006-era RuneScape — while keeping every piece of 2004Plus's own semi-custom content intact alongside it. The new name reflects where the project actually sits now. Everything you already know is still here; there's just a lot more of it.

Here's everything else that shipped along the way.

11new quests
348collection log slots
(was 295)
2new HD renderers
⚔

Quests & Bosses

  • 11 new quests, and every special attack from the Lost City (revision 289) era is now in.

  • Kalphite Queen is in, complete with a pet, a hiscore, and a custom rare drop and teleport.

  • Fight Caves is in too — pet, hiscore, and a chance at Tzhaar equipment on completion.

  • New Slayer monster drop tables added and assigned to Slayer masters — not every master yet, but more are coming.

  • New clue scroll rewards from 2006 have been added.

  • The collection log has grown from 295 to 348 entries.

⚖

Interface & Quality of Life

  • The bank interface has been overhauled with search, placeholders, and tabs.

  • A new ::drops interface lets you search any monster's drop table by monster or item name — or browse the whole list.

  • The world map is in — Ctrl+M, or click the icon.

  • The rest of the orb tray is functional too — special attack, run toggle, and the others.

  • A new preview login screen, with saved usernames.

⚡

Graphics & Performance

  • Two new HD rendering backends powered by Babylon.js — WebGL2, and WebGPU in beta.

  • A long-running z-buffering bug in HD mode is fixed.

  • A downloadable, browserless client is available, and it uses your graphics card properly.

  • Fullscreen and resizable window modes are in as an early access option.

☡

Client & Cache

  • All cache data from the 377 version has been added, while retaining all of 2004Plus's own semi-custom content.

  • 2004Plus's custom areas have been moved to fit around the newly imported map.

  • Real instanced map chunks have been added.

  • Zulrah now uses OSRS-style models, with the rest of her missing rotations added.

  • A modern animation system has been added under the hood.

  • Scripts and data imported from the Lost City 377/289 versions — including but not limited to new potions, the agility arena, new jewellery, new random events, and Castle Wars (early access).
